Job Summary

The IT Project Manager will be responsible for managing the complete life cycle of technical Compass One Healthcare IT project initiatives, driving the process from start to finish. The position will encompass a varying mix of both strategic and tactical activities that must be balanced to achieve the desired results and will require a hands-on, ‘can-do’ approach. A working knowledge of patient feeding solutions, and application configuration & networking is required. Strong understanding of Field Systems Solutions preferred. Candidate will require strong IT technical knowledge of application design, development, deployment, and cross functional knowledge as it relates to IT business applications. Candidate will also require strong project management skills, including being able to define a project, work across various teams, drive accountability and take overall ownership and coordination.

Essential Functions:

  • Leads technical projects from initiation through implementation including phases such as planning, analysis, design development and implementation

  • Focuses on enterprise roll-out of patient feeding solutions in the healthcare environment, including collaboration with 3rd party vendors, business owners, operators and corporate stakeholders

  • Defines and executes against project scope, goals and deliverables as defined in collaboration with business owners, field operations, stakeholders and sponsors

  • Develop project plans and execute within agreed timelines, coordinating activities across various teams

  • Follow standard project management methodologies

  • Prioritize, organize, assign responsibilities and allocate resources to achieve the best results

  • Ensures strategies are in line with department and organizational goals

  • Provide leadership and support for team regarding strategies objectives and overall priorities

  • Maintain integrity and confidentiality of information

  • Ensure objectives and deliverables are managed in accordance with company policy and align with departmental budgets

  • Act as liaison between technical teams and business units; technical and non-technical communication skills required

  • Leads a cross-functional team, taking ownership of the project, mitigating risks and assuming accountability

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum 5-7 years of IT business experience; Healthcare focused required

  • Healthcare HL7 Interfaces a plus

  • Strong project management skills, including effective communication, planning and organizing

  • Proven leadership and team building experience

  • Experience implementing patient related-systems

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

  • Effective organization, planning, problem solving and analytical skills

  • Strong verbal and relationship-building skills, including public speaking and the ability to lead steering committees and project teams

  • Service oriented collaborative approach to customer and peer relationships

  • Fosters a creative and innovative environment

  • Strong presentation skills

  • A self-starting, self-managing individual

  • Highly developed sense of ownership and responsibility

  • Commitment to quality

  • Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Some travel may be expected
