The Resident District Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple sectors including Flik Hospitality, Flik Conferencing and Eurest Services. This role involves strategic planning and accountability for results for all contractual obligations. Will ensure that all staff deliver superior customer service (Platinum Service). Client relations skills must be exemplary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the daily operations of the above functions through direct interface and communication with the lead members of each team

  • Working with the client to ensure that goals and expectations are fully understood and then communicating such expectations to the staff and incorporating them into all aspects of the Compass operation

  • Maintaining close communications with the client to ensure that the Compass staff is meeting and exceeding expectations on an ongoing basis

  • Presenting Quarterly Business Reviews to the Client and Stakeholders

  • Managing all client-requested metrics, acuity, and KPI audits

  • Ensuring that current policies, procedures and guidelines are being followed by associates

  • Establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with key internal departments

  • Conducting weekly Compass staff meetings, focusing on enhanced communications, departmental effectiveness and customer satisfaction

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS Degree with 15+ years of experience to include food service, conference services, and facilities management

  • Prior client relations experience in contract environment

  • Union management expererience

  • A consistently professional approach, including a strong sense of self- respect and integrity, as well as respect for and interest in others

  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks

  • Ability to carry out responsibilities with little supervision, as well as juggle many tasks simultaneously

  • Ability to interact with customers in a professional and pleasant manner, on a daily basis

  • Ability to manage and mentor a diverse work force, providing associates with on-going training and other opportunities for career development

  • Knowledge of financial reporting and experience with financial/statistical analysis

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of office technology/equipment

  • Punctual, dependable and dedicated to achieving operational excellence, down to the smallest of details

  • Extensive knowledge in event and space management with focus on event logistics and execution

  • Ability to think strategically in terms of both short-term and long-term objectives and challenges

  • A mindset to take ownership and responsibility within and outside one’s job domain. Relevant competencies would include self-confidence, willingness to learn and feeling comfortable with change and coordinating change

  • Demonstrating an appropriate level of assertiveness, with an ability to drive the business forward on an on-going basis

  • Discreet, ethical and committed to maintaining a high degree of confidentiality
