Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists in development and preparation of new products and menu development for culinary production facility and dining centers.

  • Assists in development of wellness products with portion and or nutritional requirements.

  • Supervises cooks in production facility (multiple shifts).

  • Oversees operations of dining centers in multiple states.

  • Trains staff on standard operating procedures, safety, customer service, and cooking techniques.

  • Plans, coordinates and executes food demonstrations.

  • Achieves financial goals by contributing information and recommendations.

  • Controls costs by inventory control, portion control and quantities of preparation and by minimizing waste.

  • Maintains safe and healthy environments by following and enforcing sanitation standards.

  • Enhances profitability by accomplishing assignments or exceeding company objectives.

  • Assists in maintaining equipment.

  • Must have a working knowledge of Food Safety/HACCP.

  • ServSafe Certification Preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of A.A. Degree in Culinary Arts

  • Must have a working knowledge of HACCP. ServSafe Certification Preferred.

  • Three years of culinary management experience in contract foodservice, fine dining setting, or restaurant with inventory and purchasing knowledge and control

  • Good knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation

  • Knowledge of P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience is desirable

  • Good driving record.

  • Experience and knowledge in operating kitchen equipment.

  • Experience and knowledge in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook.
