The Role of the AV Project Coordinator is to support Audio Visual Project Deployment by performing detailed system testing and punch walks of newly deployed spaces and communicating results to the Project Team and Client/Stakeholder. Additional project support is required to assist Project Manager in project related task completion such as quality control on drawings, equipment lists and overall design.


  • Perform detailed testing of newly deployed AV systems, referencing project documentation and scope and Design Guidelines.

  • Clearly document and communicate deficiencies back to project team for prompt resolution utilizing Smartsheet Punch Tracker.

  • Keep end user experience in mind while providing feedback to the Owner Rep Project and Technology team on ways to improve user experience.

  • Maintain and update the library of punch lists to adhere to the Design Guideline standards.

  • Maintain Room Completion Matrix on Smartsheet tracking all new AV installations.

  • Work closely with the Project Consultants to understand project scope, schedule, and budget deliverables.

  • Enter time spent on projects in a database for time tracking and invoicing purposes.

  • Communicate with Business Operations Assistant to make accurate and within budget travel and lodging arrangements for remote projects.

  • Keep financial documents in order while on trips for accurate billing.

  • Provide input and feedback on commissioning time allocated for each project in an effort to provide the level of support required for each client.

  • Provide support to Project Consultant team through various assigned tasks.


  • Knowledge of AV systems and integration.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and test installed AV systems for functionality and quality workmanship.

  • Strong networking and operating system skills and background.

  • Detail oriented.

  • Ability to responsibly use a company provided credit card for traveling expenses and insuring all receipts are accounted for, and are in compliance with Compass policies.

  • Proficient in MS software applications.

  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.

  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines with analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Reacts to break/fix situations promptly and efficiently.

  • Flexible during times of change.

  • Ability to read communication styles of various team members and hardware vendors from diverse disciplines.

  • Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products

  • Strong customer service skills.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

  • Ability to work overtime on nights and weekends as required.


  • Manage schedule to maintain 70% billable rate.

  • Travel for Commissioning of field site conference spaces up to 50% of the time during peak periods.

  • Provide 3 innovative ideas, processes, or technology solutions per quarter.

  • Maintain current status reports.

  • Attend at least 2 training sessions per year and utilize knowledge gained to improve systems integration.

  • Other KPI’s as required by Sr. Project Consultant or client.

Education and Experience:Requires experience in technology related field and at least 2 years’ experience in AV operations and support.

Language Skills:English

Mathematical Skills:Basic calculations and Excel knowledge

Reasoning Ability:Ability to continually evaluate situations, recommend alternatives and solutions, and re-prioritize accordingly.

Other Qualifications: Proficient in Microsoft Software Programs including Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, as well as technology tools and language.

Physical Demands:Must be able to lift 30 pounds

This associate may be working on high-profile, high-touch events that will require a large on-site presence. Some lifting and physical activity may be required when assisting on-site at an event.
