Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a full-time Senior Wellness Coordinator to join our Nutrition Team to work in fast-paced corporate environments in the Northern New Jersey market as directed by Senior Leadership. Monday-Friday, day shift with occasional nights and weekends as needed.

The Wellness Coordinator is responsible for all nutrition and wellness information and activity for the account. He/she customizes, supports, coordinates, and measures nutrition and wellness initiatives and provides nutrition education, training, communication and guidance for the account and Compass Group associates, as well as other Business and Industry operations as needed. The Wellness Coordinator works collaboratively with the dining service director, regional director, chef, and marketing to promote and support corporate nutrition goals, objectives, strategies and policies to develop as well as implement wellness related programs, initiatives insuring compliance with FDA nutrition labeling laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement sector specific nutrition/wellness programs and initiatives.

  • Participate in account retention and sales efforts, as well as quarterly business reviews.

  • Develop and present materials for wellness programs to include health fairs, lunch and learns, program launches, regional and district meetings, client meetings, etc.

  • Contribute to wellness related social media efforts.

  • Manage menu and recipe development as well as the nutrient analysis.

  • Lead in-field implementation and on-going wellness training for associates and act as the nutrition education resource.

  • Conduct regular audits, ensure accuracy of all nutrition information posted, and monitor all wellness promotion results.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in food and nutrition or related science field required.

  • Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required.

  • State Licensure or ability to obtain required.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of Wellness experience required.

  • Serve-Safe certification preferred. If not certified, must obtain certification within twelve (12) weeks from date of hire.

  • Advanced written and oral communication skills; ability to apply complex mathematical concepts.

  • Strong presentation and time management skills; advanced computer skills, management and leadership skills, advanced problem solving skills and outstanding interpersonal skills.

  • Familiarity with nutrition analysis software is preferred.

  • Culinary and/or foodservice experience preferred.
