  • Location: BWI Airport (Upper Level Pier E); Baltimore, MD 21240. /Note: online applications accepted only./

  • Schedule: 3-4 days per week, 5 hour shift and 1 weekend day required.

  • Requirement: Bartending experience helpful, excellent customer service skills, and must be able to complete required certifications.

Summary: Responsible for guiding and assisting passengers in the lounge. Follow all food safe practices. Handles customer service situations as they arise. Must be aggressively friendly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promptly and warmly greets and guides guests upon entry to the lounge..

  • Helps create an overall enjoyable experience and promotes a safe, clean and neat environment for guests and other associates.

  • Exhibits exceptional communications skills. Gets along well with others, demonstrates flexibility and patience; possesses an interest in people.

  • Pour/serve alcohol.

  • Maintains a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information that is shared.

  • Supervises the activities of food-service associates in the dining room to ensure proper customer service, food handling and sanitation procedures are followed.

  • Helps train new food-service team members.

  • Supervises the closing of the lounge; ensures all work and station setup is properly completed.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of emergency safety procedures and helps evacuate guests to safety in the event of fire or other emergency.

  • Assists with service, including clearing or dishes, and food service, while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards.

  • When the situation arrises will be asked to operate equipment, including but not limited to fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines.

  • Works well with staff of other departments to perform job duties and during special events or functions.

  • Maintains a clean as you go work ethic.

  • Prepares food display including placing sandwiches and fruit, heating of soup, cutting cheese.

  • Restocks food items and beverages, using the FIFO (First in First Out) principle.

  • Preboards eligible passengers upon entry.

  • Maintain logs.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of allergens, and be able to assist passengers with choices.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
