The Marketing and Communications Director for Bon Appétit will be responsible for all Bon Appétit marketing activities to include advertising and promotions at this large account. This person will work closely with the management team in project management, producing marketing strategies and collateral that are conducive to the customer and customer satisfaction.

MAJOR DUTIES/FUNCTIONS/TASKS:

  • Project management

  • Responsible for the creation of Bon Appétit marketing collateral, such as print ads, posters, brochures (Catering, Retail) with Director of Marketing and to be distributed within the community.

  • Works with Director of Marketing and operations managers in the merchandising of each dining location.

  • Administers promotions successfully and on time.

  • Creation and implementation of menu/signage design and other area treatment issues.

  • Maintaining Café Bon Appetit Website and monthly audits.

  • Writes and presents all communications and reports.

  • Assists in the roll of FDA nutritional programs.

  • Assists in kiosk, web and AP based menuing and program oversight.

  • Driving weekly and monthly promotions though social media.

  • Perform monthly café and coffee brand audits.

  • Responsible for gift card audits, distribution and card loading.

  • Special projects under the direction of DM and Regional Director.

  • Assist management team in developing goals and objectives, which respond to advertising and promotional opportunities and suggestions of consumers.

  • Assists Director of Marketing with Operations Managers to develop annual advertising and promotions strategies that will be used to generate sales in the retail operations.

  • Develop annual advertising and promotion plans that include the marketing budget. The position will manage all activities within the approved budget.

  • Meet with managers to plan and develop promotions/special events calendars for retail operation and assist with execution of programs.

  • Manages and monitors the track of success of marketing efforts.

  • Creates and maintains company Org Chart, Market Baskets.

  • Supports leadership team in presentations.

  • Assumes responsibility for collaboration and effective partnerships to deliver a marketing comprehensive program.

  • Actively contributes to the effective communication in a decentralized environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience:Two years experience working with a marketing firm or in a marketing capacity within the retail industry or a restaurant.

  • Able to speak or write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings

  • Able to speak clearly and listen attentively to staff, peers, supervisors, guests and the client

  • Has computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point

  • Strong passion for great food

  • General culinary knowledge of basic kitchen practices, protocols and procedures

  • Ability to follow all Bon Appétit Health & safety standards
